To establish clear and consistent guidelines for appropriate workplace behaviour that fosters mutual respect, enhances productivity, and maintains a professional and positive work environment for all employees.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, interns, and visitors working within the office premises.

Key Conduct Guidelines

Maintain Appropriate Noise Levels

  • Keep voice volume low when speaking at your workstation or in shared spaces.
  • Use headphones when listening to audio or attending virtual meetings.
  • Take extended calls or conversations to designated collaboration or breakout areas.

Personal Hygiene & Cleanliness

  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear clean, appropriate office attire.
  • Avoid wearing strong perfumes or colognes that could affect others.

Workstation Cleanliness

  • Keep your workstation tidy and organized.
  • Dispose of waste in appropriate bins and avoid leaving food or used utensils at your desk.

Meeting Discipline

  • Be punctual and prepared for all scheduled meetings.
  • Avoid interrupting others and be respectful of diverse opinions.
  • Limit the use of phones or laptops during meetings unless required.

Common Area Conduct

  • Leave shared spaces like meeting rooms, pantry, and restrooms clean and usable for the next person.
  • Follow posted guidelines in common areas, including kitchen use and seating norms.

Professional Conduct

  • Treat colleagues, clients, and visitors with respect and courtesy.
  • Avoid gossip, offensive jokes, or inappropriate comments.
  • Uphold confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.

Digital Etiquette

  • Use company communication tools (email, chat, video calls) professionally.
  • Refrain from sending non-work-related content on company channels.
  • Mute yourself when not speaking during virtual meetings.

Diversity, Inclusion and Equity

  • Respect individual differences in culture, background, gender identity, and personal beliefs.
  • Avoid comments, jokes, or behaviours that could be interpreted as discriminatory or exclusive.
  • Speak up or report if you witness biased or inappropriate behaviour.

Implementation & Reinforcement

Onboarding Integration

All new employees will be introduced to this policy during the HR induction process to ensure understanding from day one.

Visual Reminders

Key conduct points will be displayed on posters in workstations, corridors, and other common office areas.

Monthly Reinforcement

A brief email reminder will be sent each month to reinforce the policy and share any updates or observations.

Non-Compliance

Any kind of non-adherence to the policy may result in disciplinary action.
